We are delighted to announce that Professor Xiaolan Fu, Director of the Oxford Technology and Management Centre for Development (TMCD), has recently been honoured with the 2023 Mulan Annual Awards in Science and Technology.

Professor Fu said, “I am deeply honoured and humbled to receive the Mulan Award for my contribution to science and technology through my research, education and impact efforts. I have been fortunate to work on exciting and impactful projects promoting science and technology capabilities in the developing world. I believe that science and technology can be a powerful force for good in the world, although they also come with ethical and social implications to address.”

Professor Fu said, “I am truly grateful to receive the Mulan Award. I would like to thank the Mulan Foundation for the recognition, and my family and my colleagues for their support. I hope that my work can inspire more young girls and women to pursue their dreams and aspirations in science and technology, and to make a positive difference in the world.”
