Professor Fu introduced the DILIC Project to Ministries in Ghana
During her recent visit to Ghana, Professor Fu introduced the Diffusion of Innovation in Low Income Countries (DILIC) Project to policy makers at the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology.
Professor Fu met with Mr Johnson Adasi, Director of SME and Technology, and Dr Benony Kortatsi, Director of Science, Technology and Innovation. Both fully supported the objectives of the DILIC Project and emphasised its relevance in the context of Ghana. Mr Adasi shared the major barriers to innovation in Ghana. He stressed the importance of supporting the local firms and unfolding the challenges they are currently facing. Dr Benony Kortatsi focused attention on the importance of innovation as an engine for the growth of the local private sector.
