A paper published by TMCD researchers including Professor Xiaolan Fu, Dr Shaomeng Li, Professor Zhongjuan Sun, Professor Jizhen Li and Micheal Kitson has received the best paper award in the  ‘Corporate and start-up collaboration’ track at the 2021 R&D Management Annual Conference.

The paper was titled 'Strategy Configuration for Innovation: The Role of Portfolio and Density of Collaboration and Acquisition'.

The R&D Management Conference 2021 was held online from Tuesday 6th-Thursday 8th July, 2021. The theme of this conference was Innovation in an Era of Disruption.The global Covid-19 crisis has made many companies realise that they cannot operate as they have in the past. Crises create opportunities for both economic, social and environmental innovation manifest in the growing sharing economy and areas related to sustainability, clean technologies, energy and methods of production.
