TMCD Director, Professor Xiaolan Fu was recently recognized with the Asia-Pacific Research Exchange Award. The award was given for for a paper on governance & innovation, examining the effect of state ownership. The paper found that there is a  difference between central and local government-owned firms, hence their motivation and capacity for innovation differ.
